Women’s Water 
Polo Teams

The women’s section of the club is coached by Chris Motley, an ex-international player himself with a wealth of experience as a coach. Sheffield women's A team are currently in the 1st Division of the British Water Polo League (BWPL), and often compete in the Super 5's. The A team who play in Division 1 have a very successful history winning the national title several times and gaining entry into European competition, where they competed successfully against some of the best teams in the world.
 
The B team compete in the national conference. This squad is largely seen as a development squad, it will give opportunities to both junior and senior players to compete in national competition, whilst offering a player pathway to develop and move into the A team when ready. Sheffield is one of a very few clubs that has had 2 women’s team in top flight polo and is a gauge of the recent strides made in the girl’s/women’s section of the club.
